FCC ask for more comments on internet regulations

Thursday 2 September 2010 | 09:32 CET | News
The US FCC has extended its public consultation on the proposed 'open internet' rules for regulating broadband services. The FCC said that industry talks so far have "narrowed disagreement" on the four main principles proposed. However, it would like more feedback on handling "managed services", or last-mile broadband access services, and mobile broadband services. The regulator said it is lookign to encourage the maximum investment and innovation while also maintaining internet freedom and openness. Comments can be filed for 30 days.
