FCC chairman encouraged by interest in Incentive Auction

FCC chairman Tom Wheeler told the Communications and Technology Subcommitee in a hearing on the oversight of the FCC that the regulator was encouraged by the strong interest seen from broadcasters interested in selling their spectrum and the broad range of parties interested in buying it in the Incentive Auction taking place on 29 March. He said the commission's goal was to repurpose as much spectrum for mobile broadband as the market demands to meet growing consumer needs.
