FCC consults on funding for small operators to replace Huawei, ZTE equipment

The FCC has started a consultation on allocating the USD 1.9 billion provided by Congress for stripping Chinese equipment from telecom networks in the US. The Commission proposes allowing operators with up to 10 million subscribers to make use of the federal funding for replacing the network equipment deemed a security risk.
