The US Federal Communications Commission has cancelled a planned vote at its 17 November meeting on its proposed reform of the business data services market. The regulator did not give a reason for the decision, but some market watchers expect it is the first sign of the FCC scaling back its ambitions following the Republican win of the White House. The business data reform had been largely opposed by incumbents in the fixed market. US congressmen have already called on the FCC to refrain from implementing any controversial reforms in chairman Wheeler's final months in office.
