FCC moves ahead with plans for rural 5G subsidies

The FCC has outlined more details of its plans for set up a fund to bring 5G services to rural parts of the US. It plans to hold a reverse auction to award subsidies to operators rolling out networks and will seek comments from stakeholders from later this month on how to determine which areas are eligible.
