FCC receives over 3 mln comments about net neutrality rules

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) said it has received a record 3 million comments about its proposed net neutrality rules, Reuters reported. The rules are set to go into effect from 22 September. The FCC added that comments from consumers, advocates, companies and lawmakers were still coming in. Chairman Tom Wheeler revealed his proposal to set new Open Internet rules, regulating how ISPs manage traffic on their networks, in April. Under the proposal, ISPs such as Comcast Corp would be prohibited from blocking user access to websites or applications but could charge content
