FCC revises TV broadcaster notification rules

The Federal Communications Commission has voted unanimously to update its notification rules for cable and satellite TV providers by proposing to transition required notices to broadcast TV stations from paper to electronic delivery. Cable and satellite TV providers are currently required to distribute written notices to local TV stations by mail, certified mail or hand delivery before taking certain actions affecting existing stations or new services. Under the new rules, the FCC proposed allowing the delivery of notices from a cable operator to a broadcast TV station via email to an inbox
