FCC says 4 mln US households sign up for emergency broadband discount scheme

The FCC announced that four million households have enrolled in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program in less than three months. Launched in May, the program, which has a USD 3.2 billion budget, provides qualifying customers with monthly discounts of  USD 50-75 discount on subscriptions from over 1,100 eligible internet providers for the remaining duration of the pandemic.
