FCC starts public trial of Google white spaces database

Google has begun a 45-day public trial with the FCC of Google's TV band database system to allow the public to access and test the system to ensure that it correctly identifies channels available for unlicensed radio transmitting devices operating in the TV band, registers radio transmitting facilities entitled to protection, and provides protection to authorised services and registered facilities.
