FCC to add Sprint, Dish spectrum to spectrum screen

Friday 25 April 2014 | 20:57 CET | News
The FCC is planning to add much of Sprint and Dish Network's spectrum portfolios to its so-called spectrum screen, which will bring more scrutiny to any future spectrum transaction they engage in. The FCC is proposing to make changes to the spectrum screen in conjunction with issuing proposed rules for the incentive auction of 600 MHz broadcast spectrum, planned for next year. Rules for both proceedings will be voted on by the FCC at its 15 May meeting.
