FCC to propose net neutrality resolution

Wednesday 12 February 2014 | 15:00 CET | News
On 10 February during a speech at the University of Colorado Law School, Federal Communications Commission chairman Tom Wheeler said that the FCC is working towards a plan to re-instate Net neutrality rules, reported Cnet. This follows legal proceedings that occurred in January in which a federal appeals court threw out the FCC's Open Internet rules. The court rejected the regulation on a legal technicality, but upheld the agency's authority to regulate broadband networks to encourage adoption and investment.
