FCC to vote on releasing more mid-band spectrum at October meeting

Wednesday 3 October 2018 | 13:26 CET | News
The FCC is expected to approve at its meeting later this month the release of more spectrum and improved licensing terms for 5G services. Following a recent White House summit on 5G, FCC chairman Ajit Pai announced his 5G Fast plan to 'Facilitate American Superiority in 5G Technology'. The October meeting should accelerate this plan, with the expected approval of more mid-band spectrum in the 6 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands.
