FCC turns focus to landlord deals to improve broadband in buildings

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is inviting comments on how broadband connectivity could be improved in apartment and office buildings. With the new call, the FCC wants to understand how it could promote increased competition, consumer choices and lower prices. Acting chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel noted in particular that it was time to take a fresh look at how exclusive agreements between carriers and building owners was locking out broadband competition and limiting consumer choice.
