FCC urged to open up more lanes for 5G

The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA), an advocacy organisation based in Washington, said it supports a FCC petition on facilitating the deployment of 5G networks and giving mobile users better, faster internet access. The CCIA also urges the FCC to update its rules and open up more lanes for 5G. The FCC released a public notice, inviting comments on the petition. The petition asks the FCC to update its rules to promote two-way mobile broadband service in an underused spectrum band, 12.2-12.7 GHz.
