Festive smartwatch, tracker sales to jump 4% in US - study

US sales of wearable devices such as activity trackers and smartwatches are set to jump at least 4 percent in the final quarter of the year, according to a report from NPD Group. The entry of major player like Apple into the market, combined with an overall increased awareness of the benefits and capabilities of the products, will contribute to the growth in sales. The report predicts that the growing segmentation of the two sectors will boost sales, with the activity tracker category in particular having a wide variety of price ranges, depending on features, quality, and design. Consumer
