Monday 5 July 2021 | 14:20 CET | News
Neutral fibre network operator FiBrasil, set up by Telefonica Brasil, Telefonica Infra and CDPQ, has started operations in Brazil. FiBrasil will be present in 34 cities (1.6 million households) from day one and, by the end of 2021, should cover 500,000 new homes. FiBrasil will bring fibre infrastructure to 5.5 million homes and businesses over the next four years, and will provide access to a neutral, ultra high-speed fibre network in a wholesale model for companies that want to expand their coverage throughout Brazil.
