Fifteen Brazilian cities to get 4G technology this year

Brazil's Communications Minister Paulo Bernardo announced that mobile operators should provide 4G technology in fifteen cities this year, although the obligation currently is to provide LTE in six host cities of the Confederations Cup. According to the schedule established by Anatel, the mobile operators who acquired spectrum in the auction have until 30 April to cover 50 percent of the areas of the six host cities of the FIFA Confederations Cup: Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Salvador and Fortaleza.
