Finland starts testing intelligent fairways at start of 2017

The Finnish Transport Agency said it will start testing intelligent fairways at the beginning of 2017. Testing will run for two years and the systems will inform mariners about the prevailing conditions and vessel movements in the fairway. Several fairways along the Finnish coast will be used as test platforms.
