Finnish EUR 5 million broadband subsidies now support asymmetrical speeds

The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications said the decree on the Act on Broadband Construction Aid entered force on 15 March, allocating EUR 5.00 million in the 2021 budget for the government's broadband aid scheme. Constructors of broadband connections with a minimum download speed of 100 Mbps and minimum upload speed of 40 Mbps are eligible for support. At peak hours, the actual minimum speed to be achieved must be 70/28 Mbps.
