Finnish Fast Broadband state aid reaches EUR 76 mln between 2011 and 2019

The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) said it has granted a total of EUR 76 million in state aid to support the construction of broadband networks, with 48 recipients and some 190 projects funded. All of those networks are based fibre and provide connections with symmetrical transfer rates 100 Mbps. The government is preparing to re-open the state broadband aid scheme in early 2021.
