Finnish fixed broadband subscriptions stable in H1 but getting faster

Finnish communications regulator Ficora said that internet transfer speeds continue to rise as fibre increasingly replaces copper, but the number of fixed broadband subscriptions remains stable at around 1.7 million. Of these, 88 percent are domestic ones and it is estimated that around 55 percent of Finnish households had a fixed broadband connection at the end of June 2018.
