Finnish govt sets up data retention working group

Monday 27 March 2017 | 13:37 CET | News
The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications said it has set up a working group to assess the legislation concerning the storage obligation with regard to electronic communications delivery reports. Its term of office is 20 March to 16 June 2017. This follows the April 2014 verdict of the European Court of Justice, saying the data retention directive was invalid, and the same court's resolution in December 2016, making data retention requirements even more stringent.
