Fintel secures landing of sub-sea cable Gondwana-2

Fiji International Telecommunications (Fintel) has announced it has secured landing of the sub-sea cable Gondwana-2. Securing the internet requires the installation of a second submarine cable that will be added to Gondwana1, which links Nouméa to Sydney since 2008. To this end, a call for tenders for the security of New Caledonia by international and domestic submarine cables was launched on 30 March this year.
