Fitbit makes changes to leadership team

Fitbit announced changes to its senior leadership team. The company promoted VP of Engineering, Samir Kapoor, to SVP of Device Engineering, reporting to co-founder and CTO, Eric Friedman. Most recently, Kapoor spent ten years with Qualcomm. In addition, Jeff Devine joined Fitbit as EVP of Operations. The company also announced the departure of two executives by the end of the month: Chief Business Officer, Woody Scal and EVP, Interactive, Tim Roberts. In addition, Fitbit will formally align around two areas of focus: 'Consumer Health and Fitness' and 'Enterprise Health.'
