Fitbit Pay debuts in Romania with local bank

Fitbit's Fitbit Pay payment service debuted in Romania through local bank and partner Banca Transilvania, writes Romanian publication startupcaffe.ro citing Fitbit and the bank's representatives. As of 17 December, all the bank's customers who have the latest Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition tracker or Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa smartwatches can add their Visa credit or debit card data to the Fitbit application. End-users are able to pay directly with their Fitbit product without the need for a card or mobile phone. At present, Fitbit Pay works with over 165 banks and card issuers in over
