Flanders looking into rolling out 5G at regional level

Flemish government negotiators have quietly agreed to look at 5G deployment on a regional basis, in order to accelerate roll out, De Tijd reported, adding that Flemish coalition parties have reached an agreement on this issue. Deployment for 5G has been stalled because a national auction is not yet possible: this deal would circumvent that problem. Disagreements between federal and state governments about the distribution of proceeds from the auction led to its postponement, until a new government takes office.
