FNB plans to launch eWallet eXtra mobile-only account

South Africa's First National Bank has announced the imminent launch of a mobile bank account that can be opened via a feature phone or smartphone without the customer ever walking into a branch, TechCentral reported. The service is called eWallet eXtra and there are no monthly fees nor requirement to submit any paperwork, but only one's name and ID number.
