Tuesday 3 September 2019 | 11:58 CET | News
Smartphones with foldable or rollable displays will become more popular from 2020 despite initial technical roadblocks, according to the latest study from ABI. Shipments of these smartphones will reach 8 million in 2020, but leap to 228 million in 2028. For all devices with foldable or rollable displays, shipments will hit 240 million in 2018 from 1.8 million this year, with a CAGR of 72 percent. Average Selling Prices (ASPs) may limit initial growth.
