Former Cisco engineers raise USD 278 mln with cloud start-up Pensando

The cloud and edge computing start-up Pensando Systems has emerged from stealth mode with the announcement of USD 145 million in funding. The Series C round was led by Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Lightspeed Venture Partners, which will each take a seat on the board. The company is led by chairman John Chambers, the former Cisco CEO who now runs JC2 Ventures.
