Former DeTe director criticises current fibre roll-out tempo

Former Deutsche Telekom director Gerd Tenzer is criticising the speed of fibre network roll-out by his former employer, according to teltarif.de citing an interview with Tenzer with German magazine Focus. He said that if Deutsche Telekom continues to wait for the regulator to decide on the definitive regulation for fibre networks, it lets the cable network operators and local network operators to conquer the market. Tenzer compares the current situation with 1990, when his then employer had to upgrade the phone network in Eastern Germany, after the reunification and claims if they loitered
