
The former Google CEO and chairman Eric Schmidt is stepping down from the company's board after the upcoming AGM. He will continue as a technical advisor to Alphabet, Google's parent company, it announced.
In addition, Diane Greene, who has served as a member of the board since January 2012, is not seeking re-election at the AGM in June. She also served as CEO of Google Cloud from December 2015 to January 2019.
Alphabet announced that Robin L. Washington, the CEO of biopharma company Gilead Sciences, will join the board from 25 April. She will serve on Alphabet’s Leadership Development and Compensation Committee. Washington worked previously as CFO of Hyperion Solutions and spent time at Peoplesoft, Honeywell and Salesforce.
