Former KPN chairman dismisses possible Altice takeover

KPN's former chairman Jos Streppel dismissed the idea of a takeover of the Dutch operator by Altice. In an interview with Dutch paper Het Financieele Dagblad, he said Altice's business model does not appeal to him. KPN CEO Eelco Blok recently made similar comments, questioning the sustainability of Altice's business model. Altice executives and various media reports have suggested the company, which is in the process of moving its headquarters to Amsterdam, may have interest in a bid for KPN.
