Forth unveils educational tablet PC

Friday 16 September 2011 | 04:14 CET | News
Thai electronics maker Forth has unveiled its educational tablet PC in a move to join the government's THB 4 billion One Tablet per Child programme. The tablet is priced at THB 3,000 and features a 7-inch display and provides settings to control content that can be accessed, the Bangkok Post reports citing R&D director Sawat Erbchokchai. Forth spent three months redesigning its tablet to reduce the size and price. "We're confident our current tablet price could easily compete with those of Chinese manufacturers, while our production capacity could serve the government's demand," Sawat said.
