Four operators apply for spectrum auction in Hungary

Digi Telecommunications, Magyar Telekom, Telenor Hungary and Vodafone Hungary have applied to acquire additional mobile spectrum in Hungary, the National Media and Communications Authority (NMIAH) announced. The regulator will now have 15 days to validate their applications for participation in the bidding. The auction will offer nine packages of spectrum, in the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz and 26 GHz bands. The winning bidders will have the right to use the frequencies until 2034. The minimum price for the licences is HUF 104 billion.
