Fox to launch OTT TV service in Brazil

Fox plans to launch in Brazil its streaming service Fox+, offering customers independent of pay-TV subscriptions direct access to the 11 Fox channels (Fox, FX, Fox Life, Fox Premium 1, Fox Premium 2, Fox Sports, Fox Sports 2, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Kids and Baby TV). Speaking to Veja, Fox executive Michel Piestun pointed out that pay-TV in Brazil is restricted to 18 million households, or 26 percent of the total, while broadband is already present in 29 million households. With the new product, the broadcaster will be able to reach viewers who do not have pay-TV, via the internet on
