Foxconn mulling Mexico factories for iPhone production - report

Wednesday 26 August 2020 | 11:31 CET | News
Two of Apple's largest manufacturing contractors, Foxconn and Pegatron, are considering the possibility of opening new factories in Mexico due to the trade war between the US and China, according to unnamed sources cited by Reuters. Foxconn already has 5 factories in Mexico making TVs, servers and other products, and is likely to make a final decision on a new factory later this year, said two sources. Apple hasn't yet confirmed the plans and declined to comment on the report.
