Foxconn to revive Nokia's Chennai plant, wants govt support

Foxconn Technology Group has agreed with Nokia to revive the manufacturing plant near Chennai. Foxconn has set tough conditions for the deal, including waiver of Nokia's tax liabilities in India and resolution of legal issues at the state level, for a deal to be finalized, ET reports. In its first formal communication to the government on the issue, Foxconn proposed to convert the Nokia plant into a global manufacturing hub for mobile phones and telecom network equipment.
