French spectrum agency ANFR announced that France and Germany have signed a coordination agreement for bands between 470 MHz and 694 MHz, which will be used to provide DTT services in both countries, freeing up 700 MHz spectrum for mobile broadband use. This is the final step in the frequency coordination project launched in December 2014 to implement multilateral cooperation between France and its neighbouring countries. As part of this project, similar agreements have been recently signed with the UK, Italy, Monaco and the Vatican.
