France approves reform on shorter movie release windows

The French ministry of culture announced that a long-awaited agreement to shorten movie release windows has been reached with stakeholders in the film sector. An end to the protracted negotiations had been widely expected following the funding deal signed by Canal Plus with the French film industry, agreed in November.
