France refines obligations for new-building wire connections

A new legislative decree, published on 7 August, has further defined the obligations for new buildings with regards to fixed telephone lines and fibre connections, reports Batiactu. Taking effect from 1 September, the decree further modifies the French building code (article R111-14), following a series of wide-ranging reforms introduced in recent years to ensure that all new buildings are equipped with at least a copper line and that all communal buildings have a fibre connection.
