France Telecom weighs plans to rebrand as Orange

France Telecom is weighing plans to change its name to Orange, a move which would not happen before summer 2012 at the earliest, La Tribune reports citing trusted internal sources. Increasing the preference for 'Orange' was an objective in the group's Conquests 2015 strategic plan. The three-step process will start with dropping the ampersand, "&", from the France Telecom logo, followed by France Telecom-Orange's 170,000 employees in France having an e-mail address change to name@orange.com.
