France to sell Orange stake when the price is right

The French State is not committed to keeping its Orange stake for ever, economy minister Emmanuel Macron said at a Senate hearing. Les Echos reports that he indicated that a disposal would not happen anytime soon, "One must wait for more favourable market conditions", he said. The government, which currently owns 13.5 percent of Orange, sold 2 percent stakes in 2014 and 2015 to raise funds for the Treasury.
