Fraunhofer Institute carries out positive test of 5G core network with Nokia, Huawei base stations

The Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems, FOKUS, said that its 5G core network Open5GCore now works with the base stations of Huawei and Nokia. With the Open5GCore, end-to-end tests of 5G standalone networks can be carried out with base stations from different manufacturers for the first time. The research institute plans further interoperability tests with other manufacturers in the future.
