Free Wi-Fi attracts little interest in Utrecht

The use of free Wi-Fi offered in the centre of Utrecht is less than expected, De Telegraaf reported. The city and the company WiFives/Skeyeopener have set up free Wi-Fi on four squares, and since July around 10,000 user sessions have been activated. A similar network on the Plein in The Hague attracts around 2,500 users per day. Wifives attributed the difference to the involvement of shops and cafes involved in hosting the network.
