Freenet files for court injunction against 5G auction

Tuesday 12 March 2019 | 16:15 CET | News
Freenet wants to protect its interests through the appeal, a spokesperson for the company said. Already active as a MVNO, Freenet fears that the major operators Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica and Vodafone Germany won't allow it access to their 5G networks. Therefore Freenet has asked also the Federal Network Agency to oblige the operators to provide access. An explicit obligation from the agency would be "necessary and possible", a Freenet spokesperson added.
