Freenet launches USB stick for digital TV service

Freenet and its unit Media Broadcast announced the start of sales of a USB stick for customers to access its DVB-T2 service over computers. First announced last autumn, the device is available with a small antenna for EUR 59.99. The servive offers access to 40 channels in full HD. To access the TV service, consumers need to download free software, register once online and then start a program search. No internet connection is needed to watch the TV channels, and an electronic program guide, teletext and subtitles are also included. Later this year Freenet also plans to launch an IP-based
