French agency recalls Razer Phone 2 for breach of SAR limits

Wednesday 20 May 2020 | 11:45 CET | News
France's spectrum agency ANFR is inviting owners of the Razer Phone 2 to contact the handset maker for a refund or product exchange. Razer decided to recall the Razer Phone 2 from the French market after the handset was found in breach of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limits for mobile phones, set by EU regulation protecting the public against radio frequency exposure. The Razer Phone 2 failed compliance tests for the 'trunk' body region with a measure of 3.29 W/kg, exceeding the current regulatory limit of 2 W/kg.
