The new TV package unveiled by Canal Plus in mid-September is now available for sale, following the distribution deal that the French broadcaster has agreed with Netflix. As expected, customers will be able to add the package for a launch price of EUR 15/month to Canal Plus’ entry-level pay-TV tariff, which currently costs EUR 19.90/month. The discount is valid for up to two years, after which the monthly subscription rises from EUR 15 to EUR 30. This launch offer is only applicable to new sign-ups and is due to end on 08 January 2020.
A beefed-up version of the ‘Cine Series’ add-on, the new package can be accessed on multiple screens and includes Netflix’s mid-tier ‘Standard’ subscription. It also bundles over 20 thematic channels from partners such as OCS and Disney.
Canal Plus has recently launched the 'beep' ad campaign to raise awareness of its streaming services and new positioning as content aggregator.
