French e-commerce market sees slowing growth - study

France's e-commerce market growth is slowing down and may become flat in 2016-2017, according to a study by Xerfi-Precepta covered by Le Monde. The e-commerce market's annual growth is forecast to slow to 13 percent in 2015, 16 percent in 2013, 18 percent in 2012, 22 percent in 2011 and 53 percent in 2005. In light of the slowdown, the market researcher stresses the urgency of building customer loyalty. E-commerce sales reached EUR 37.7 billion in 2011 and are forecast to reach EUR 66.7 billion in 2015. French e-commerce association Fevad has given a more optimistic projection that the market
