French e-commerce rises to over 13% of retail sales in 2020

The pandemic had a significant impact on e-commerce habits in France during 2020, accelerating the shift towards online product sales, in particular during the last quarter of the year. According to the latest report by e-commerce federation Fevad, this has led to e-commerce sales gaining ground as a proportion of total French retail sales, with a market share of 13.4 percent last year compared to 9.8 percent in 2019.
